Nj Monthly best High school rankings 2018
Dated: September 22 2020
https://patch.com/new-jersey/pointpleasant/new-jerseys-best-high-schools-nj-monthly-rankings-released Every year Nj Monthly puts out this issue and I am sure Covid will have an impact on the 2020 analysis. I have been watching this for years before I went into real estate. I tend to think that the reflection of the high School is symbolic of the performance of the elementary and middle schools. The schools generally stay within their bracket or rankings from year to year meaning 3 may slip to 6, 12 may boost up to 9 etc. In town gossip will point to personnel changes or local isssues having it's effect on the results. I am not sure. I am not measuring. Most every buyer will look at towns with this type of report in their backpack. Here are a few things I have learned. No matter how great the school if the parents are not involved and supportive of their child's learning process your child's education results will not match your expectation. The school can not do it with out you. I had an ivy league buyer couple a few years back and I thought they would be most rigid of towns by school searches and I was wrong. I asked them point blank do you want to research the schools of some of the towns that you are considering? They said no because their education will have a solid curriculum that NJ is known for and the rest is on our shoulders. I was taken back since I usually get requests like I want to search houses in the top 10, the top 25 and top 50 school districts. It is ultimately a personal decision for each buyer but I just wanted to share that there are different ways to determine what will work for you. This couple was right in many aspects aside from the need of parent involvement was that their trust in the New Jersey school system is on point. Something, I think most of us take for granted. years back Times Magazine did an article about best public schools in the country and New Jersey came up in the top 10. There are all kinds of searches out there to help you make the best decision for you family. Searches for the best S.T.E.M. or votech program, magnet,or traditonal are available U.S News and world report. The most recent report shows NJ as number 2 in the country.(https://www.usnews.com/education/best-high-schools/national-rankings). I will take that!!
